Founder’s Message
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Tengon Foundation.
My name is Sumanta Murmu, and I am the founder of this organization. As a differently-abled individual, I have experienced firsthand the challenges and barriers that come with living in a world that often overlooks the potential of people like me. These experiences have shaped my vision and fueled my determination to create a society where everyone, regardless of their abilities or background, has the opportunity to thrive.
I am also the author of the book “Disability & Mind”, where I explore the intersection of disability, mindset, and societal perceptions. Through this work, I aim to challenge stereotypes and inspire others to see beyond limitations.
Despite the odds, I have always believed in the power of resilience, hope, and collective action. This belief led me to establish the Tengon Foundation, an organization dedicated to holistic community development. Our work spans disability support, women empowerment, children’s development, education, health, social awareness, and livelihood programs. While we are rooted in tribal areas, our mission extends to all communities, ensuring no one is left behind.
At Tengon Foundation, we believe that true development is inclusive. It is about creating opportunities for those who are often marginalized and empowering them to lead dignified, fulfilling lives. Every initiative we undertake is driven by the values of inclusivity, empathy, and sustainability.
I invite you to join us in this journey of transformation. Whether through your support, time, or voice, you can help us make a lasting impact. Together, we can build a world where everyone has the chance to shine, regardless of their circumstances.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for being a part of this incredible journey.

With gratitude,
Sumanta Murmu
